BackFeb 14, 2008

Saprang Kalayanamitr yesterday resigned as Airports of Thailand (AOT) chairman, effective today.

The AOT board yesterday also approved a Bt300-million budget to improve the security, services, telecommunications, facilities and human resources at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The improvement is part of AOT's plan to make Suvarnabhumi one of the world's 10 best airports, said Chaturongkapon Sodmanee, deputy general manager of the airport.

Suvarnabhumi is now ranked 40th among 90 airports worldwide.
